Grammar explaination
You can use ～かい when you want to say “follows A, turning the sentence into a yes or no question (note: casual).”

Noun + な + の +かい
な adjective + な + の +かい
い adjective + の +かい
Verb: Casual + の +かい
Example sentences
腹が減っているのかい？Hara ga hette iruno kai?
Are you hungry?
どこまで行くのかい？Doko made ikuno kai?

今晩のパーティーに来るかい？Konban no paatii ni kuru kai?
