You can use “~てあげる” when you want to say “do something for you”.

Verb て form +あげる means, I do something for you, or someone does something for someone else. ( on demand, as a favor)

手伝ってあげます。
I will help you ( as a favor)

あなたはまだ子供だから教えてあげます。
You are still child so I will teach you.

私は田中さんにDVDをかしてあげます。

Verb て form + くれる means, someone does something for me( on demand, as a favor)
