You can use ~すぎる when you want to say ” doing too much.”
The patterns is below:
Verb: Verb stem +sugiru.
i-adj: drop final i +sugiru. ( ex: takai → takasugiru , samui → samusugiru )
na-adj: drop final na +sugiru. ( ex: shizukana → shizuka sugiru, kireina → kirei sugiru)
doing too much or too excess.
It means “too much” or “too (big/small/expensive/etc.)”.

私は食べすぎました。Watashi wa tabe sugimashita.
I ate too much.
私は飲みすぎました。Watashi wa nomi sugimashita.
I drunk too much
